Creative Time

About

Creative Time’s Curatorial Department develops artist commissions, special initiatives, global projects and other direct engagements with artists. Currently, the department’s special initiatives include the CTHQ and the R&D Fellowship for socially engaged artists and CTHQ, Creative Time’s gathering space for art and political engagement. Daily tasks as a Curatorial intern include conducting research for projects, community programs, and initiatives; assisting with program planning event logistics; and providing administrative and direct event support to artist-led gatherings at CTHQ. The intern should have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable interfacing with artists and audience members. In addition, experience with event implementation and program research is a plus. If you want to help make artist projects happen, and participate in public programs, apply to work with the Curatorial department.

Hours: T 10AM-6PM, W 1PM-9PM, TH 10AM-6PM (Our internship schedule is different for this department, weekly evenings will be required with occasional weekends)

How to Apply

Qualifications

Applicants should have a high attention to detail and be organized, motivated, and self-directed. In addition, solid writing, research, and computer skills are helpful, as is a professional and comfortable phone manner. An interest in contemporary art, a familiarity with the field, a sense of humor, and enthusiasm for Creative Time’s mission and programs are important.

Our work at Creative Time is inherently political, social, and invested in the global justice movements of our time. It is also fun, experimental, and often very delightful. We value individuals who embody those values, backgrounds, and lived experience.
