About the Project

Creative Time/DNAid was a series of public art projects that addressed the implications of contemporary genetic research on our global futures. DNAid Billboards were installed for the month of September 2000 and featured three artist-designed boards throughout New York City: Haluk Akakçe’s The Measure of All Things on Varick & Carmine Streets; Nancy Burson’s Five Images from the Human Race Machine at Canal & Church Streets; and Alexis Rockman’s The Farm at Lafayette & Houston Streets.
