By changing shapes and sizes, and encrusting them with glitter and sequins, artist Arch Connelly makes every one an individual. Connelly says his idea is "to use a familiar icon of popular culture and transform it by giving each face a distinct character." Is this a reminder of something?

Artists' Biography

Arch Connelly was born in Chicago and died in New York, mid-July 1993. He has exhibited his work in New York at Artists Space, White Columns, Fun Gallery, Holly Solomon Gallery, Wessel/O'Connor Ltd. and Castelli Gaphics. His work has also been shown in Japan, Sweden, Germany and Holland.
