In 1996, Creative Time commissioned Shirin Neshat’s first film, Anchorage, for the spectacular vaulted chambers in the base of the Brooklyn Bridge. Art in the Anchorage was one of Creative Time’s legendary programs that for almost two decades gave visual artists, fashion designers, performers, and musicians an opportunity to extend their practice and to explore new media. Creative Time is honored to celebrate a decade of Neshat’s bold and complex filmmaking with a screening of three films that provide moments of questioning and reflection – core values that Creative Time has explored through its public art for nearly 35 years.
